For Remy's belated birthday party, I didn't have time for a sculpted cake ( see post from November) so I opted for a fondant covered cake with a black royal icing guitar piped on top. The iceman commeth, and he shreadeth.

Brithday cake for a friend's father, an avid skier. I tried to make it look like ski tracks in the snow, but I couldn't resist adding some sprinkles and pearls. I hope it was delicious.

We spent some time in New York over the vacation, and went to a new pizza place in Chelsea named Co. The crust was really nice, if a little bready, and well baked in their gas Earthstone oven. Their tarte flambe had limp kind of greasy onions on it, not the traditional crispy finish, but still yummy. The plain marguerite was just right. Worth a stop if you're in NY, but beware. It is quite trendy and often crowded- no reservations taken.
